An easy way to find the module positions is to open a template inside joomla. In your template manager click on the template and select preview. All the module positions used will be listed.

Another way is to go into module manager, open a module and the positions will be in a drop down box. . Most common ones are left, right, top, user 3 , footer and banner. But you can put anything in whatever position you want.

here’s the thing, i am looking forward to using your service, the only thing is, i dont know what to name the module positions. can you please make a video on naming the positions and perhaps even the correct way to slice them up and I’d love to pay for your service! your vids are a little to blurry and not covering the naming part very well. Thanks

Sure - take a look at the website. There are lots of other tutorials and documentation. There are forums to ask questions at too.

I would design to the most people possible. You can see browser usage statistics at the the w3schools website (youtube won’t let me put a link here!)

Hi pleabargain -
We don’t support any sort of cloning of existing HTML. psd2css Online takes Photoshop or GIMP PSD files as input currently.

yusofy @ 2:05 pm

Hi i would like to ask what should the size of the template be
like how many Pixels

pleabargain @ 2:48 pm

3:45 works with Joomla and Drupal! Really?!

What of taking existing sites and ‘cloning’ the design with screen grabs and modifying the PSD with your technique?

July 24, 2009

psd2cssonline @ 8:23 am

Sure. There are a number of default regions that you can place Joomla content in. Design them into your template by just drawing a box for the region in a new layer and calling the layer user1_joomla or one of the other user definable Joomla regions.

so is it possible to create a horizontal menu bar instead of your left_joomla? I don’t like left side menu’s.

dpmaxey06 @ 5:54 pm

Great explanation on the conversion, I’ve been needing to learn this for a while now, finally got the clear picture of how it’s done. good vid.
